The Systems Diagnostic

Three weeks. One document. Every technology decision your firm has been deferring.

A fixed-scope, fixed-price engagement that ends with a written roadmap you can act on with or without me. Most firms find the cost of what's already broken inside the first week.

What you get

01

A boundary map

How work actually moves through your firm, from first call to closed file — the real flow, not the org chart.

02

A systems assessment

Every tool you're paying for, what it's actually doing, and a build, buy or kill recommendation with the cost of each.

03

A 90-day roadmap

Sequenced so the highest-risk thing gets fixed first, priced, and written so someone other than me could execute it.

04

A risk register

What breaks next as caseload grows, and roughly when — so the next failure isn't a surprise.

How the three weeks run

Week one

I sit with the people who actually run the work — intake staff, paralegals, whoever touches the file. Not the partners' description of the process, the real one.

Week two

Every system gets opened, costed and pressure-tested. This is where most firms discover what they're paying for twice.

Week three

The roadmap gets written and sequenced, then I walk your partners through all of it in plain language and answer for every recommendation in it.

What happens after

Many firms take the roadmap and run it themselves, and that's a legitimate outcome — it's written to be executable without me. Where it makes sense to keep going, the diagnostic converts into a retained fractional CTO engagement and the fee is credited against your first month.

Either way you own the document.
